Botanical Gardens
At the Botanical Gardens. Smell of levened manure surrounds me. Waterfall burble to my left and then farther away--fainter to the right and middle--sky reflections at my feet--gentle of the bee beyond my back--far off tree with birdsong. Flies. Lilypads. Crunch of footsteps on gravel. Sun just came out. Sparkly Green on the pond lilygrass. Tried to start my 'project' yesterday--ended up with a gessoed over beastie on hot pink, purple, magenta/fushia, with prussian streaks. Yeah. Starting again!

How to Make a Snow Cave
A snow cave is a great type of snow shelter if the conditions are right for one. You need to put your entrance in a place where it won't get covered in snow during the night in case of snow and wind. Dig in, and then up. Poke a ventilation hole in the ceiling with a ski pole or a stick and leave it in there so you can wiggle it once in a while to keep it clear. Without a ventilation hole you could die in your sleep so make sure you have one. Cover the door with a snow block or a backpack at night.
